Easter

What a wonderful day! The day or Saviour conquered death and sin! It was a great morning at church; Sunrise service and a big breakfast. Then I came home to cook dinner for Pete and April and Greg stayed for the second service.

The Sunrise service was beautiful. We enjoyed our time with Pete, April and Lily. She is just the sweetest baby. She is starting to laugh and smile. I really enjoyed my time with her today.

I hope that everyone had a great day with their families.
Happy Easter!

Planning the Garden

I have ordered some of my seeds, zipper cream peas, and corn. The tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers have been started and are sprouting up pretty well (this were left over from last year’s seeds.) The yin yang beans I saved from last year’s crop.

Potatoes, zucchini, squash, and some herbs still all have to be purchased. Pumpkins and watermelons will be planted in the garden. I did get some seeds and 10 strawberry plants free from work, sugar snaps, beans, watermelon, cantaloupe, jalapeno peppers, and some flowers. I never have much luck with lettuces, radishes or carrots, but I think I will try them in planters this year.

I am really getting spring fever. We are to have a few days of nicer weather but our ground is still so wet we can’t get into the garden yet. Hopefully next weekend.

This weekend will be busy with Easter happenings. We are going to Louisville on Saturday to be with Greg’s family then April is coming over after church on Sunday for Easter dinner.

I hope everyone has a nice Easter…eat lots of eggs!

Updates

I finally did the test that the Doctor ordered and will hopefully find out for sure this week that all is well. He doesn't seem to think that I have cancer and that was a great relief! I pray the test proves him right.

The weather here has been really cold this week. We even had snow flurries...brrrr! Hopefully that is the last of it for this year.

I hope that it hasn't killed my cherries for the year. The blossoms were just starting to pop open. I am really looking forward to a cherry pie.

Our new chickens are starting to lay and the older girls are picking up again too. We are getting about 2 dozen eggs a day now.

The baby goats are doing well as are the rest of the goats. Garden plans are being made, if it ever gets dry enough to get in it to till and plant.

We are getting ready to re-do the living room. I am ordering new furniture, the first in a long time. I am so excited to get it. I'll have to post pics when i get it.
